Heading into the Holiday Season!!
First and foremost, of course, is our annual Celebration of Light. It will be held on December 19th at 7pm at the Kelowna Community Theatre.
After that, please join us on December 21st at 7pm at the Peace Centre for a very special 'Taize' service. This is a contemplative service of readings, music, and silence. It is a profound experience that you won't want to miss.
And finally we will join again with millions of others around the world for the World Healing Day peace meditation on December 31st at 4:00 am (no we are not kidding) at the Peace Centre.
All the best for a wonderful holiday season from all of us at the Centre for Spiritual Living Kelowna!!!

World Day of Service 2016 - Your Gift to the World
Selfless service alone gives the needed strength and courage to awaken
the sleeping humanity in one's heart. - Dr. Crystal J. Davis CSL Member Council
We have created a
Triple-header Service opportunity for you to share your gift of service with
the City of Kelowna as you participate in CSL's 4th Annual World Day of
Service.
People of all ages, children to
seniors are invited to join us as CSL Kelowna participates in the BC
Thanksgiving Day Food Drive. This is a
great chance to gather as family, natural and spiritual, to collect food that
will stock the shelves of the Kelowna Food Bank.
All events take place at the Pandosy Peace
Centre, 2490 Pandosy Street
(corner of Morrison and Pandosy).
On Saturday evening Sept 10, at 7pm we will kick-start the event with a fun movie
and popcorn evening at the Pandosy Peace Centre. We will have Spiritual Cinema as we gather to
prepare bags to be handed out in our
community to collect food. Bring along a
stapler if you have one! Popcorn and
beverages will be served!
Thursday evening at 6:30, we gather to fan out in teams, via vehicle, to
deliver empty grocery bags and flyers to homes around the Peace Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new
people, and to get a bit of exercise at the same time. We are generally finished by 8:30 or 9:00
pm.
Saturday, Sept 17th at 10:00 am we
will return, in teams, to pick up the donated food items from homes in our
assigned area. Once the food is picked
up from homes, we will collect it together for delivery to the Food Drive
Drop-off spot. People are welcome to
join in the sorting of food items at the drop-off zone, or may choose to
complete their day at the PPC. We are
generally done food pick up by 12:30 or 1:00pm, and the sorting at the food
bank site is complete by 3:00 or 4:00.
People need not stay for the sorting, but it is so much fun!
